Day 1:  Amman

Welcome to Jordan! Arrive Amman Airport (optional arrival at Allenby/King Hussein Bridge); meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel in Amman for overnight.

Day 2: Amman / Jerash / Ajloun / Amman

After breakfast, meet your private guide and driver for a panoramic tour of Amman, capital of Jordan and the economic, political and cultural center. Continue to Jerash, known as the “Pompeii of the East,” one of the world’s best-preserved Greco-Roman cities. Tour the Temples of Artemis and Zeus, the Roman Forum, Hadrian’s Arch, the massive Theatre and the mile-long Street of Columns. After lunch, continue westward to Saladin’s 12th-century mountain top castle, Ajloun Castle, one of the finest examples of military architecture. In the evening, we suggest to enjoy the fine dining at the various venues available at your hotel. Return to your beautiful hotel in Amman for overnight. (B.L)

Day 3: Amman / Madaba / Mt. Nebo / Petra

Depart Amman to Madaba, home to some of the finest Byzantine mosaics in the world. View the 6th century mosaic map of the Holyland. Continue to Mount Nebo, highest point of the Moabite mountain range, offering a remarkable view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Tradition holds that Moses viewed “the Promised Land” from this peak. After lunch in a local restaurant, on to the desert oasis of Ain Mousa where Moses quenched his thirst en route to Kerak, the ancient walled city steeped in history, known by many names during its long and eminent past. Visit the magnificent castle before continuing on to Petra, built by the Nabateans over 2000 years ago. Tonight enjoy dinner at the “Petra Kitchen” including Jordanian cooking lessons. Overnight in Petra. (B.L.D)

Day 4: Petra / Wadi Rum

Today, discover a most unforgettable day in the “hidden” city of Petra. Travel on horseback or on foot into the “rose-red” city beginning at “Siq”, a winding canyon road. Marvel at one of Petra’s most impressive monument, The Treasury, made famous in the movie “Indiana Jones”, carved out of solid rock from the side of the mountain.  Beyond the Treasury, you’ll discover soaring temples, elaborate royal tombs, a theatre, burial chambers and water channels. After lunch, drive southward to Wadi Rum. This evening, enjoy a delicious Bedouin dinner in a tent. Afterward, immerse yourself stargazing in the comfort of your bubble tent through the transparent roof enjoyable for the beauty of nature. Overnight in Wadi Rum. (B.L.D)

Day 5:  Wadi Rum / Dead Sea

Wadi Rum, a place of breathtaking scenery inspired the film “Lawrence of Arabia”. This morning try a camel ride at this oasis. Then, enjoy a truly “out of this world” Land Cruiser jeep experience to a surreal place of red sand dunes and unimaginable beauty. Explore the eroded pillars of sandstone rock known as “The Seven Pillars”. Continue to the miraculous Dead Sea and the spectacular Kempinski Ishtar Hotel; float in the buoyant, salty waters and soak up the healing benefits of year-round sun and mineral-rich water at the lowest spot on earth. Tonight we suggest an optional dinner at one of the fine dining venues of your hotel. Overnight at the Dead Sea. (B)
