Day 1: Port of Safaga / Luxor

Morning arrival at the port. Our Private Egyptologist Guide and Driver will meet you for the drive to Luxor. Your tour begins with a visit to the vast Karnak Temple-Complex, built by generations of Pharaohs over a 2000-year period.

Continue to the Avenue of the Sphinxes and the imposing Temple of Luxor with its grand colonnades. Explore the mighty temple of Amun with its mass of obelisks, pylons, colossi and courts. This evening, you may wish to join the optional Sound & Light Show at the Karnak Temple. Overnight in Luxor. (L)

Day 2: Luxor / Port of Safaga

Today visit the West Bank of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. Secluded in the Theban Hills, it is where the New Kingdom pharaohs were buried in dramatically shafted tombs built into the hillsides; enter the astonishing Tomb of Tutankhamen.

Continue to the beautifully terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut’s and to the imposing famed Colossus of Memnon. Begin your drive to Safaga passing through this popular sea resort. Return to the port for cruise re-embarkation.
