Day 1: Port of Alexandria or Port Said / Cairo

Morning arrival at the port. Our Private Egyptologist Guide and Driver will meet you for the drive to Cairo. Arrive at Giza to see the Three Great Pyramids; enter one of the Pyramids. Stand in awe at the magnificent Sphinx carved out of a single piece of stone, guarding the Giza plateau. Enjoy lunch before transferring to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (L)

Day 2: Cairo / Port of Alexandria or Port Said

Today visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum (subject to museum opening) with objects covering 5,000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization; on to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. The Museum presents a richer and deeper insight into Egyptian culture through the

ages; enter the fascinating Mummy Room housing all 22 Mummies (relocated from the Egyptian Museum). Afternoon drive to Old Cairo to visit the beautiful Coptic Church of St. Sergius where legend says Jesus and the Holy family stayed after fleeing from Jerusalem. Continue to the 9th century Ben Ezra Synagogue (subject to permission). Proceed to the

Mosque of Mohammed Ali at the Citadel of Saladin. Time permitting, stop by the bustling Khan el-Khalili Bazaar where shopping is an exotic experience. Return to the port for cruise re-embarkation.
