Arrival Cairo; meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Sunday: Cairo
Morning drive to Giza to see the Three Great Pyramids, the oldest surviving structures built by man; enter one of the Pyramids. Visit the astonishing Solar Boat Museum, housing the oldest known ship in the world buried for over 4500 years. Stand in awe at the magnificent Sphinx carved out of a single piece of stone, guarding the Giza plateau. Try a camel ride before continuing to the unique Karnak Bazaar for refreshments and some fantastic buys. After lunch, continue to the world famous Egyptian Museum with objects covering 5000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization; see Tutankhamun’s treasures and enter the fascinating Mummy Room. Monday: Cairo / Luxor
DAHABIYA SAILING
Transfer to the airport for an early morning flight to Luxor. Arrive and transfer to the “Yaz Yakouta” for a 6 Day/5 Night Sailing. After lunch, visit the vast Karnak Temple-Complex, built by generations of Pharaohs over a 2000-year period. Continue to the Avenue of the Sphinxes and the imposing Temple of Luxor with its grand colonnades, standing alone in the heart of town. Dinner and enjoy evening’s entertainment onboard. Tuesday: Luxor / Esna
DAHABIYA SAILING
After breakfast, visit the Valley of the Kings containing the secretive tombs of New Kingdom Pharaohs; enter the astonishing Tomb of Tutankhamen. On to the beautifully terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari. Stop by the famed Colossi of Memnon, standing nearly 70 feet tall. Sail to Esna and balance of the day at leisure. Wednesday: Esna / Edfu / Kom Ombo
DAHABIYA SAILING
Early morning set sail to Edfu. Visit the Temple of Horus including a short ride by caliche (horse-drawn carriage). Temple of Horus is the best preserved of all large Egyptian temples, built over a 180-year period. Return to the boat to continue sailing to Kom Ombo. Overnight in Kom Ombo. (B.L.D)
Thursday: Kom Ombo / Aswan
DAHABIYA SAILING
Morning visit Kom Ombo, a hill town overlooking the banks of the Nile. Visit the Greco-Roman Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to Horus, the Sun God and Sobek, the Crocodile God.
Sail to Aswan to visit the Aswan High Dam and the nearby granite quarries. View the gigantic, unfinished Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut. Transfer by motorboat to the island of Agilka to see the exquisite, gleaming Philae Temple. Afternoon sailing trip on a typical Egyptian “Felucca” (sailing boat) which glides along the Nile, passing the dramatic white marble Aga Khan Mausoleum. Overnight in Aswan. (B.L.D)
Friday: Aswan

This morning at leisure to enjoy the elegant ambiance and expansive views; or take an optional tour to Abu Simbel (please inquire for rate) to see the mighty Sun Temple reclaimed from the dam and reconstructed in its present and unforgettable location. Afternoon take a Felucca ride and visit the Botanical Gardens. Overnight in Aswan. (B.L.D)
Saturday: Aswan / Cairo
After disembarkation, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, continue to Old Cairo to visit the beautiful Coptic Church of St. Sergius, where Jesus and the Holy Family stayed after fleeing Jerusalem. On to the restored, 10th century A.D. Ben Ezra Synagogue (subject to opening schedule and permission), the oldest in Egypt. Proceed to the Mosque of Mohammed Ali at the Citadel of Saladin. Drive to the bustling Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, where shopping is an exotic experience. Overnight in Cairo. (B)
Sunday: Cairo
Transfer to Cairo Airport for your departure flight or continue on an optional extension to Alexandria. Or, extend your journey to Israel, Jordan or Dubai, please inquire. (B)
